Senator Suleiman Nazif Gamawa, the National Vice Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), asserted that his party offers a viable solution to the difficulties Nigerians are currently enduring. Speaking to reporters in Bauchi on Monday, he claimed the ADC possesses the capacity to field strong candidates that can effectively compete against both the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Gamawa expressed confidence that the ADC will be a formidable contender in the 2027 general elections, emphasizing that a lack of incumbent governors does not prevent success, citing former President Muhammadu Buhari’s victory as proof. He proclaimed the ADC to be “the saviour” and the political alternative the public is seeking.
He maintained that the ADC is internally stable and invited politicians who are unhappy with their current parties to join them. Gamawa promised that the ADC would deviate from common practices in other parties, specifically by avoiding the high costs associated with nomination forms, ensuring opportunities for all well-meaning Nigerians.
Leveraging his extensive political background, which includes over 30 years of experience and having served as Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Gamawa expressed certainty in the current ADC leadership’s ability to guide the party to victory. He also used the opportunity to urge eligible voters to secure their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and actively participate in the elections, warning that failing to vote wisely would perpetuate poor leadership consequences. Finally, he criticized the political landscape being controlled by a select few and reiterated the ADC’s dedication to mentoring youth for political involvement and leadership.
