Buba Galadima, a trustee of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) administration is indifferent to the rising insecurity across Nigeria. Appearing on Arise Television’s ‘Prime Time’ program on Monday, Galadima asserted that the APC government has been dedicating most of its time—specifically 99%—to political activities like accepting new members and weakening rival political organizations, rather than addressing security problems. He emphasized that governing a nation like Nigeria is a demanding task requiring dedication beyond making money, insisting leaders must prioritize their responsibilities. Galadima warned that the effort to eliminate the opposition is detrimental to democracy and could lead the country toward authoritarianism, urging the government to focus its efforts on safeguarding citizens’ lives and assets.
