As part of continuous efforts to promote job creation and expedite infrastructure development throughout the state, Delta State Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has reiterated his administration’s commitment to awarding additional construction projects to Julius Berger Nigeria Plc.
Additionally, the governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to increasing youth employment opportunities through consistent infrastructure investment and strategic alliances with respectable construction firms.
Governor Oborevwori noted in a statement that unemployment and financial difficulties continue to be significant issues for many families, emphasising the necessity of intentional government actions meant to enhance livelihoods and provide opportunities for youth.
“Unemployment and economic hardship are two of the many issues that our people face today.The lack of opportunities is causing far too many of our youth to give up.For this reason, we must keep empowering our young people, generating jobs, and making sure that development reaches every community.
He commended workers and contractors handling projects across the state for their dedication and contributions to community development, noting that genuine efforts toward progress deserve the support of all stakeholders.
Governor Oborevwori also underlined that his administration will keep working with Julius Berger Nigeria Plc to carry out important projects that will improve infrastructure and create jobs in Warri, Effurun, and other areas of the state.
In keeping with his administration’s plan to update the infrastructure in the Warri/Effurun metropolis, he revealed that Julius Berger has already been given the task of rebuilding the Effurun Roundabout to the NPA axis.
Additionally, the Governor praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for enacting reforms aimed at reorienting Nigeria’s economy. He pointed out that the reforms have made more money available to state governments, allowing them to carry out important projects and pay salaries on time.
Governor Oborevwori went on to say that after the Ubeji–Ifie Road is finished, the Trans Warri–Ode Itsekiri Roads and Bridges project will be inaugurated.
