I am not involved in the scheme to remove Makinde, the Chief Whip of the Oyo Assembly.

Gbenga Oyekola, the Chief Whip of the Oyo State House of Assembly, has stated that he is not one of the members that intend to remove State Governor Enginerr Seyi Makinde from office.

On Tuesday morning, Oyekola, the Atiba State Constituency representative, posted this statement on his verified Facebook page.

There are intentions to divide the State House of Assembly, according to Oyekola, who was elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He claimed that certain people intended to work against the legislators’ and state government’s relationship.

“I, Hon. Gbenga Oyekola, hereby completely disassociate myself from any arrangement or activity that has the potential to disrupt the peace of Oyo State,” he said. I never participated in any of these meetings or preparations, nor was I consulted or invited.

“I cannot and will not betray my supervisor, His Excellency Engineer Seyi Makinde.

“I reiterate my steadfast support and allegiance to Governor Seyi Makinde, his administration, and his party. I’m still totally dedicated to Oyo State’s peace, harmony, and ongoing development.
