I regret my 2023 Tinubu campaign, said actor Alapini.

The seasoned Nigerian actor Ganiu Nofiu, better known by his stage name Alapini, has expressed sorrow over his choice to support President Bola Tinubu in the 2023 presidential race.

The actor, who made this statement in the midst of the nation’s increasing economic hardship and insecurity, clarified that his prior contributions in the Yoruba film industry and Lagos led him to campaign for Tinubu with hundreds of his colleagues.

The actor apologized for not receiving payment or recognition for his work.

In his most recent appearance on “African A-List,” Alapini also asked why the humanitarian endeavors of President Seyi Tinubu’s son, who is from the Northern region of the country, “neglect the southwest.”

“We had to take a two-month break from our work to campaign for Tinubu in 2023,” he stated. We spearheaded the effort for the welfare of Nigerians, not for our own benefit.

Because we adored Tinubu after his beneficial contributions to the sector, we backed and dedicated ourselves to the campaign, believing that our Messiah had arrived.
And during the two years of his government, we received no compensation. Most likely, they aren’t in the proper mindset to do so just yet.

Is Seyi Tinubu going to claim that he didn’t see the former actors while campaigning? Over 100 of us, young and old, participated in Tinubu’s campaign. We did not receive any compensation for the campaigning we did. All of that was done out of love.

However, Seyi is rushing throughout northern Nigeria to cover their medical expenses. Doesn’t Yoruba land (Southwest) also have sick people? How many Yoruba-land hospitals has he visited?
