Ikya was praised for moving the Lobi Stars.

The Lobi Stars Football Club of Makurdi’s players and staff claim that chairman Simon Ikya’s leadership style has not only repositioned the team but also given the former NPFL champions much-needed unity.
In a kind letter signed by Principal Media Officer Austin Tyowua, the club announced this on Monday in Makurdi in honor of Ikya’s birthday.
According to Tyowua, the chairman guaranteed that the club’s guiding principles were discipline and decorum, as well as a culture of promptness and industry that now influences the attitudes and actions of both officials and players.
Every unit has found its rhythm under his direction, working cohesively and clearly like a well-trained side carrying out a flawless strategy.
“After years on the road, Lobi Stars returned to Makurdi under the direction of Ikya and with the invaluable assistance of Benue State Governor Dr. Hyacinth Alia.
“The chairman restored the club’s homeground by making sure McCarthy Stadium met minimum approval standards for league games.”
“The squad went from fifth place to a strong second place finish, just three points behind the leaders, thanks to a spotless run of three victories from the three games played on the home field.
He said, “Your tenure reflects calm authority, sound judgment, and purposeful leadership, qualities that continue to shape the club’s progress.”
He prayed for the previous club team manager’s continuous prosperity, well-being, and more achievements. (NAN).
