At its 2025 cohort induction ceremony, the Sustainability Professionals Institute of Nigeria (SPIN) welcomed 96 new members.
Access Bank, ARM, Dangote Cement, First Bank, IHS Towers and Lotus Bank, Mainstream Energy Solutions, RussellSmith, and Seplat Energy were among the institutional members and experts from a variety of industries that attended the introduction.
Implications for Africa Dr. Louis Meuleman, a renowned authority on sustainability and public administration, spoke about the increasing instability in global governance systems. It also commemorated the institute’s sixth anniversary and solidified its standing as the nation’s leading professional association for sustainability practitioners.
He urged inductees to support genuine, locally led sustainability solutions for Africa, stressing the necessity for decentralized approaches that facilitate local implementation and collaborative frameworks.
According to Ini Abimbola, the vice president of the institution, the 96 newly inducted professionals are the most since the organization’s founding, bringing the total number of members to 296.
