More than 400 senior police officers are promoted by PSC.

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced the approval and appointment of over 400 senior police officers to various ranks within the Nigeria Police Force. These promotions were among the key decisions made during the Commission’s second plenary meeting, which was chaired by retired Deputy Inspector General of Police Hashimu Argungu in Abuja on Thursday, according to a statement signed by Ikechukwu Ani, Head of Press and Public Relations.
Among the major appointments, the PSC approved the elevation of AIG Dankwara Adamu Mohammed to Deputy Inspector General of Police to represent the North-East zone, taking the place of the recently retired DIG Sahabu Abubakar Yahaya.
Other significant promotions include the elevation of CP Abibo Deinma Reuben to Assistant Inspector General of Police, and the promotion of eleven Deputy Commissioners of Police (including Naziru Bello Kankarofi and Nendel Joseph Gomwalk) to the full rank of Commissioners of Police.
Furthermore, the Commission promoted thirteen Assistant Commissioners to Deputy Commissioners, forty-four Chief Superintendents to Assistant Commissioners, and 412 Superintendents of Police to Chief Superintendents. Chairman Argungu congratulated all the newly promoted officers, calling on them to demonstrate their worth through increased dedication and professionalism.
