Super Eagles winger Moses Simon offered his opinions on Nigeria’s difficulties in the second half of their 2025 AFCON match against Tunisia on Saturday night. Simon told reporters that Tunisia overcame a 3-0 deficit to score twice in the last 15 minutes of the match. “The coach, not me, has the answers to your question. We weren’t tired,” Simon said in his post-match interview when asked about Nigeria’s struggles against Tunisia in the second half.Although we [Nigeria] had more opportunities to score, Tunisia controlled the final fifteen minutes. We had the opportunity to score more than three goals. “We scored two goals in our previous game [against Tanzania], but we scored three against Tunisia. I believe we’re getting better. Simon will want to start Nigeria’s last Group C match against Uganda on Tuesday after coming off the bench against Tunisia.
