Actor Yul Edochie’s marriage advise has been refuted by Judy Austin’s ex-husband, Obasi Emmanuel.
According to the DAILY POST, Yul had previously counseled men to cease putting up with disrespect in marriage, asserting that respect is a man’s inherent right: “Your respect as a man is non-negotiable.”
Online responses to Yul’s views on marriage have been conflicting.
“If your only option is to run to another woman when you feel disrespected, you will build three football teams, including the fans, in your lifetime in the name of marriage,” said Obasi, Judy Austin’s ex-husband, in response to Yul in a Facebook post on Thursday night. Obasi has accused Yul of stealing her from him.
In a direct post to refute Yul’s advise, Obasi stated that a true man’s power is his capacity to control a woman’s excesses, writing: “KeepshoutingYourrespectasamanisnon-negotiable.”You are still a boy and not yet a man if you can’t take or control a woman’s sexes. Thus, you must exercise extreme caution,” he stated.
According to the DAILY POST, Obasi has also accused Judy Austin of preventing him from seeing their kids after divorcing her to wed Yul.
