Ogun lawmaker: “Why I left the PDP for the APC”

the lawmaker announced his defection on the floor of the house on monday, explaining that his reasons were the irreconcilable differences and divisions that have split the opposition party at both the state and national levels.
the speaker of the house, oludaisi elemide, formally informed the house by reading kashamu’s letter at the plenary session, noting that the lawmaker had resigned from the pdp due to factional disputes nationally and leadership tussles at the state level.

the lawmaker explained: “after a review of the current state of affairs of the pdp at the national level, with factions and unresolved leadership crises, and as someone who rode on the pro-people legacy and support of my constituents in ijebu north i state constituency, i have agreed with my leaders and teeming supporters that we should move en masse into the apc.”
he confirmed that he and his numerous supporters are now members of the apc, stating that the move was made “in order to bring our winning formula in ijebu north i into the apc and fully support mr governor’s iseya agenda, as well as the renewed hope agenda of president asiwaju bola ahmed tinubu, gcfr.”
