Police in Jigawa State confirmed a recent attack on the residence of the Aujara Divisional Police Officer (DPO). Command spokesman SP. Lawan Shiisu Adam stated that the incident occurred around 4:00 a.m. on November 25, 2025, when unidentified gunmen launched a violent assault on the DPO’s home. Police personnel on guard duty engaged the attackers, but during the exchange of fire, one police officer was killed and another was seriously injured, requiring immediate hospitalization. The Commissioner of Police, CP Dahiru Muhammad, offered deep condolences to the family of the deceased officer and assured the public that the command has initiated a thorough investigation to locate and apprehend those responsible for the “dastardly act.”
