After a lackluster start to the 2025–26 Nigeria Premier Football League, or NPFL, season, Kun Khalifat FC announced in a statement following a 1-1 draw against Nasarawa United at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri on Sunday. The club acknowledged the outgoing management’s dedication and service to the club and said that the decision was made after a thorough review of the club’s structure, performance, and long-term strategic direction. With 13 games this season, Kun Khalifat is currently ranked 16th with 13 points.
