Antonio Valencia selects a player to compete for the Golden Boot in the 2026 World Cup

Antonio Valencia, a former Manchester United player, has supported Viktor Gyokeres of Sweden in his bid for the World Cup Golden Boot.

Gyokeres led Sweden to a 5-1 victory over Tunisia in their World Cup opening match today.

Valencia said to Hajper, “I can see Viktor Gyokeres fighting for the Golden Boot.”

“We know there are other interesting players who have done things well, but he has had a good season and Champions League.”

Gyokeres will now look to guide Sweden to victory in their upcoming match on Saturday against the Netherlands. Last season, the Arsenal player enjoyed a fantastic season with the Gunners, helping them win the Premier League and get to the Champions League final.
