A court rules that Nnamdi Kanu is an international terrorist.

The Abuja Federal High Court ruled on Thursday that Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), is an international terrorist and someone who promotes anarchy. In his ongoing judgment, Justice James Omotosho stated that Kanu’s terrorist activities reached the United States when he issued an order in a broadcast for the American Embassy to be destroyed. The judge based this determination on another broadcast where the convicted individual commanded the destruction of the British High Commission and the murder of its staff. Justice Omotosho maintained that Kanu’s behavior, public statements, and actions—specifically the illegal orders he gave for the destruction of American and British properties—make him an international terrorist. The judge also concluded that Kanu is someone intent on creating disorder, having willingly committed all the actions he did.
