After Sassuolo defeated Atalanta 3-0 at home over the weekend, leaving the team in 13th place in Serie A after 11 games, Atalanta fired manager Ivan Juric on Monday. After Gian Piero Gasperini’s nine-year reign, the Croatian was selected in June to replace him, but he found it difficult to maintain the level of play that helped Atalanta finish third in the rankings the previous season.They are 11 points behind leaders Inter Milan despite managing two league victories this season.
