Affiliates of the Nigeria Labour Congress have started assembling at their headquarters in Abuja to initiate a countrywide demonstration regarding the escalating lack of safety in the nation. According to reports from DAILY POST, NLC President Joe Ajaero is present at the site, accompanied by various civil society partners, including Omoyele Sowore and participants from the Revolution Now Movement. Law enforcement and intelligence agencies, such as the police, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, and the Department of State Services, have stationed personnel at the location. This gathering follows the NLC’s previous announcement designating December 17 as the start date for national protests aimed at addressing the country’s security crisis.
