The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Imo State is apparently not waiting for 2027 to magically arrive.
The Imo State chapter of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has started a major mobilization effort targeting support groups across all 27 local government areas (LGAs) of the State, in preparation for the 2027 general elections.
This effort is led by Diamond Bryan Agu, the Director General of the Directorate of Support Groups, who described his directorate as the “engine room for ADC’s 2027 electoral victory.”
The support groups involved include Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs), designated for grassroots mobilization and awareness. Agu emphasized that the party’s strength lies in a new political culture built on credibility, inclusiveness, accountability, and collective progress. He stressed that the ADC favors leadership earned through conviction, where “ideas matter more than money” and politics is seen as service.
The Directorate currently works with ten existing registered support groups and announced that fourteen new groups have expressed interest in partnering to solidify the party’s grassroots presence.
It seems the ADC believes in the power of a good ground game, starting three years out.
