Sumner Sambo, a public affairs analyst, has explained why Rabi’u Kwankwaso should be given control of Kano State structures by the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC).
In an interview with Arise Television’s “Prime Time” on Tuesday, Sambo claimed that Kwankwaso, not the candidates, has been the driving force behind the majority of parties’ victories.
He asked Peter Obi, the party’s 2027 presidential candidate, to communicate with Seriake Dickson, the party’s national leader, in order to organise the NDC before the general elections of the following year.
They shouldn’t be facing the difficulties they are in Kano right now. Why won’t Kwankwaso be given the structures in Kano to assume leadership instead of experiencing difficulties?
“We anticipate that Peter Obi will demonstrate political leadership within his party by utilising Kwankwaso’s influence. Instead of sticking by Dickson’s side, Obi needs to get down and do the actual dirty work related to the party, organising the political party and making an effort to work.
He stated, “Kwankwaso has always been the reason most of the parties he belongs to win elections, not because of the candidates he brings.”
