The legendary midfield player Luka Modric stated on Tuesday that he was “rejuvenated” by being with Croatia for the fifth time on the largest platform of football and that he was determined to enjoy every moment of his final World Cup.
In one of the most intriguing group stage matches in North America, Croatia takes on England on Wednesday in Texas.
The 40-year-old Modric will draw the strings in midfield once more as he leads Croatia, who defeated England in the 2018 World Cup semifinals.
This will be the final dance for one of the most renowned players in the globe during the previous 20 years, along with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
After spending more than ten years at the core of Real Madrid’s midfield, Modric is now with AC Milan and is expected to receive his 200th cap for his nation in North America.On the eve of the England match, Modric declared, “Every game and every tournament is special at 40 with the national team.””My goal in this tournament is to have fun while doing my best,” he continued.I want to have fun throughout every practice and game with these guys.”
