In yesterday’s Nigeria National League (NNL) Matchday 3 match at Lafia City Stadium, the Makurdi-based team’s new home stadium, former Nigerian champions Lobi Stars rallied to defeat Mighty Jets 2-1. In the thirteenth minute, Jonathan Nemper scored the first goal for the visitors after Mighty Jets were given a penalty after Valentine Egiga of the Lobi Stars committed a foul in the box.Lobi Stars nearly tied the score six minutes later, but Abdulaziz Tijani swiftly cleared the ball away after Emmanuel Ofem’s shot struck the crossbar. However, a well-taken goal in the 30th minute by junior international Suur Kumaga tied the score for the first half.
