The North West chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Youth League has publicly disowned a group that claimed to be a coalition of APC support groups in Kebbi State. The League branded the coalition as “unregistered and unrecognized,” asserting it has no legitimate standing within the party’s structure. Speaking at a press briefing in Kaduna, the league’s national coordinator, Comrade Aliyu Suleiman, stated that the coalition does not exist within the APC hierarchy at the ward, local government, state, or national levels. He claimed that the coalition has never participated in party activities or grassroots mobilization. Suleiman accused the group of trying to exploit the name of Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, for their own personal interests. The youth league took the opportunity to reaffirm its support for Senator Bagudu and urged all APC members in Kebbi State to remain united behind Governor Nasir Idris. Suleiman cautioned against any actions that could create division within the party, emphasizing that unity is necessary to strengthen the APC in Kebbi and the North West region. The press conference was attended by officials of the North West APC Youth League and various political observers.
