Professor Benedict Okechukwu Oramah has received praise from Mr. Niran Aderogba, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Regional Maritime Development Bank (RMDB), for his extensive contributions to Africa’s trade and economic development while serving as President and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) from 2015 to 2025. According to Aderogba, Oramah led a number of initiatives that changed the economic landscape of Africa and promoted intra-African commerce throughout his ten years in office.He claims that under Oramah’s direction, Afreximbank’s balance sheet expanded rapidly, securing the organization’s place as a key participant in the continent’s economic growth.
