After losing 3-0 to Brighton in the Premier League on Tuesday, Chelsea set an unwelcome record.
Danny Welbeck, Jack Hinshelwood, and Ferdi Kadioglu all scored goals as Liam Rosenior’s team lost at the Amex Stadium.
But for the first time since November 1912, Chelsea has now dropped five straight league games without scoring, according to OptaJoe.
Following Brighton, Liverpool, Aston Villa, Manchester United, Manchester City, and Arsenal, the Blues are currently in seventh place on the Premier League standings as a result of the game.
This Sunday, they will play their next FA Cup semi-final match against Leeds United.
For Rosenior’s team to have any chance of making it to the UEFA Champions League the next season, they must win their final four Premier League games.
